User Agreement

YearWheel - Your year in a circle (or square)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using YearWheel ("the Application"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

2. Description of Service

YearWheel is a free, interactive calendar visualization tool that allows users to:

• View their year in a unique circular or square morphing interface
• Integrate with Google Calendar to display events (optional)
• Customize visualization settings (shape, theme, display options)
• Access astronomical data (moon phases, zodiac signs, Hebrew calendar)

3. Use of Service

You agree to use YearWheel only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Application.

4. Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to integrate with Google Calendar:

• You grant YearWheel permission to access your Google Calendar data (read-only)
• Authentication is handled via Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol
• Access tokens are stored locally in your browser (localStorage)
• You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings
• YearWheel does not store your calendar data on any server

5. Data Storage and Privacy

YearWheel is a client-side application:

• All data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage)
• No personal data is transmitted to or stored on our servers
• Your settings and preferences remain on your device

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and regulations
• Backing up any important data before using the Application

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

YearWheel is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy of calendar calculations or astronomical data
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all browsers or devices
• Data accuracy from Google Calendar integration

8. Limitation of Liability

The creators of YearWheel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from:

• Use or inability to use the Application
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Reliance on astronomical calculations or calendar data
• Any other matter relating to the Application

9. Open Source

YearWheel is open-source software. The source code is available on GitHub. You may review, fork, or contribute to the project subject to its license terms.

10. Third-Party Services

YearWheel integrates with third-party services:

• Google Calendar API - Subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Google OAuth 2.0 - Subject to Google's Privacy Policy

Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Modifications to Agreement

We reserve the right to modify this agreement at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of YearWheel after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Termination

You may discontinue use of YearWheel at any time. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Application without prior notice for conduct that we believe violates this agreement or is harmful to other users or third parties.

13. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Severability
